Who wrote this, and why it is not a ranking
This page is written by Branding Pioneers, a healthcare marketing agency that works with providers in Delhi. We are one of the agencies you might consider, so we have not ranked anyone, ourselves included. What follows is what we think you should check when choosing a digital marketing agency for hospitals in Delhi, the rules that apply here, and how we would run the first 90 days if you hired us.
The Delhi healthcare market
Delhi-NCR is less a single city than a sprawling, fragmented region — Delhi proper plus Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad — with patients and clinics scattered across all of them. On top of resident demand sits a huge inflow: out-patients migrating in from across north India (UP, Bihar, Punjab, J&K) and an international medical-tourism stream, which makes the high-end specialties — IVF, oncology, orthopaedics, eye, dental — exceptionally competitive.
Search skews Hindi-and-English, and the market is unusually comparison-driven: patients pull up Practo and Justdial, line up three or four options, and price-shop. That rewards practices that own their own name in search and show strong, recent reviews, and it punishes anyone relying on a single channel in a region this spread out.
How patients in Delhi search and choose
Patients search in English mixed with Hindi or the local language, often by voice, and almost always on a phone. They compare doctors on Google Maps, Practo and Justdial, read reviews closely, and expect to reach the clinic on WhatsApp. Many searches end in a call or a WhatsApp message rather than a form, so the speed of the reply decides who gets the patient.
The rules that apply in Delhi
Doctors' own advertising is governed by the National Medical Commission. Its 2026 guidance (Public Notice R-13014/01/2024-Ethics) bars doctors from soliciting patient testimonials or reviews for promotion, from superlatives such as "best", "No. 1" or "top" unless they can be independently verified, and from discounts or free procedures used as inducements. Factual information about qualifications, services and fees is allowed. Hospitals also answer to their state's Clinical Establishments rules, health claims in ads are policed by ASCI, and patient data falls under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Fertility clinics work under the ART (Regulation) Act 2021 and the PCPNDT Act on top of that.
Any agency you hire should be able to explain these rules without looking them up, and show you how it checks every ad and page against them before it runs. Our summary is on the NMC 2026 advertising guidelines page.
What a digital marketing agency for hospitals should actually do
Hospital digital marketing is a scale-and-governance problem before it's a creativity problem. You're marketing many departments and service lines at once, each with its own P&L, under a dual mandate to build the institutional brand and drive measurable departmental leads. That means service-line-level campaigns, integration with the call centre and HIS, IPD-versus-OPD intent handling, and doctor-to-doctor referral marketing alongside patient-facing demand — all reported to different department heads who each want their own numbers.
The buyer is a hospital with an internal marketing team that needs an agency to operate at institutional scale and within governance. The real concern is operational maturity: can the partner manage approvals, accreditation (NABH/JCI) messaging, per-department reporting and long sales cycles — or do they only know how to run clicks for a single clinic?
What to look for
- Experience marketing several departments at once, with budgets per service line
- Doctor profile and department page standards your clinicians will sign off
- Enquiry routing to the right desk, and tracking by department
- Approval workflows that fit your hospital's governance
- Reporting your leadership can use: enquiries and admissions by department
Ask for named clients in your specialty you can speak to, a sample monthly report, and the exact scope of the first three months. Be wary of anyone who promises a number of patients or a ranking position before they have audited your accounts.
How we would run your first 90 days in Delhi
This is the plan we would propose. The audit in the first weeks decides the order, and nothing here is a promised result.
- Days 1–30: department-by-department audit in Delhi: search demand, competitor visibility, the state of doctor and department pages, and how calls and WhatsApp are routed today.
- Days 31–60: priority department pages and doctor profiles rebuilt, department campaigns live, and every enquiry tagged with its department. All copy checked against NMC rules.
- Days 61–90: first department-level report to leadership, budgets rebalanced between service lines, and the next departments scheduled.
What it costs
Our own fees are from ₹50,000/month on the Practice tier (3-month minimum) and from ₹1,50,000/month on the Hospital tier (6-month minimum); Enterprise is scoped custom (12-month minimum), with ad spend paid to the platforms on top. Below about ₹40,000 a month in ad spend, paid campaigns rarely produce enough data to optimise. Your proposal confirms the scope before you commit, and after the minimum term the engagement runs month to month.
